I’ve been meaning to post, but somehow I’ve put it off for almost 3 weeks now. I’ve had a case of the blahs lately, and haven’t felt like doing much of anything. So, instead of actual content, I give you pictures!

I love our farm. It’s beautiful and peaceful.
Pattern? Not so much.

I just have no clue as to what pattern to use – it was hard enough to choose the yarn! For a while there I was leaning toward the Rib & Cable socks from the Fall 2005 IK, which I may still do, but there are so many other patterns I like too. Somebody help me choose, please!

I started writing this last night, but I had to stop for some reason, and I forgot all about it. It’s just too cute (to me, anyway) not to post.
Arien has been on a cereal kick lately. It’s the only thing she’ll willingly eat. Today she asked me for a bowl of “Aunt T’s cereal”. My sister is pregnant, and she’s been craving Rice Crispies, so I’ve been saving them for her and giving the kids another kind. Of course I let Arien have some of it this time, since she asked for it specifically.
She asked me why her cereal was making noise, and I told her that it was talking to her. Arien loves to talk. She can talk to her toys for hours, and the cereal was no different. She sat there and had a conversation with her Rice Crispies for a good 15 minutes. I finally told her that she’d talked enough and it was time to eat. She looked at the bowl for a minute and said, “I’m sorry, cereal, but I have to eat you now.” Then, she dug right in.
I’ve had a toothache for the past 3 months, and there’s nothing I can do about it. There hasn’t been a day that they haven’t hurt, and it’s only getting worse. I don’t know how much longer I can stand it. I don’t have dental insurance, and every dentist I’ve found wants payment up front. I just don’t have that kind of money.
Okay, enough whining. Let’s talk about Crafty!
My stepmom complimented me on my Crafty skills tonight, and it made me so proud of myself. I was feeling like I could knit anything. Then, when working on the lace scarf, I dropped a stitch and screwed the whole thing up. I tried and tried, but couldn’t fix it. I’m going to have to rip out a few rows and try it again. Damn. That’s what I get for being over confident.
I finished Gracie’s beret. It turned out really well, and she likes it. She can’t wait to wear it in her play, which is Thursday night.
