21 days

I spent the better part of today planning my vacation. My roommate and I are going to Tallahassee to see one of her friends next month. And a certain special someone said he would go with me. I think I’m looking forward to spending time with him more than the actual trip. Hell, I’d settle for just sitting around the house with him any day. He moved out almost two months ago, and I just miss him so much. I wish things could just go back to the way they used to be, but I know that’s not going to happen.

Okay, back to the trip! We’re leaving on June 5th, and coming back on the 9th. I’m not sure what we’re going to do while we’re there, but we’ve got plenty of time to figure that out. It should be fun. The kids are going to stay with their dad while I’m gone. I feel a little guilty about not taking them with me, but I guess it will do me good to get away for a while.

I started a new project today, too. I’m knitting Hew, and I hope to have it finished in time to wear it on my vacation. I’m using the Tilli Tomas Pure and Simple yarn that I originally bought to knit Sahara. I’ve decided that when I finally get around to knitting that I’d like to use a different yarn. I started Hew this afternoon. I’m only about 8 rows in at the moment, but I had to stop knitting to go to work.

I’m about to go knit some more on it. Yeah, I know I should probably be in bed right now, but I didn’t get home until after 3 AM, and I spent too much time browsing Ravelry. I have to be up to get Gracie ready for school in an hour and a half, so there’s no point in going to bed now. I’ll just wait until after I get her on the bus.
